How to install the Vue 3 CLI
At the time of writing this article, Vue.js 3 is at version RC 5, with the official release date on the road map set for Quarter 3 this year (2020). The VueJS core team continues to work hard and it seems like they will hit the stated release date.
Time is rolling on and now is the time to start looking at the new features available in Vuejs 3, but to do that you will first have to install the updated CLI.
Installation of the CLI is simple with NPM or Yarn.
Even if you already have Vue CLI installed, run these commands again to ensure you have the latest version, which at the time of writing is
npm install -g @vue/cli
yarn global add @vue/cli
Creating a new App
Once installed, you can create a new Vue project as you would normally using the CLI tool
vue create myapp
From the options list that appears, select
Manually select features and you will see a new option in the features available to select.
After you have finished making your selections, you will have the option to select either version
